Pastor Alisha McKnight is a native of Washington, DC who resides in Southern Maryland. She is a devoted wife and mother. She has served young people for over 24 years locally as an educator. Pastor McKnight has taught in the Prince Georges and Charles County Public School systems throughout her career. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master's degree in Reading Education with a certification in Educational Leadership.

From an early age, she's been active in ministry and has always availed herself in various capacities and has always demonstrated a heart for God and His people! She has served as a member of the praise team - ushering the people into the awareness of God’s nearness, the board of directors - assisting with the governing of ministry, and head of the youth ministry - leading and teaching the next generation of believers. Acknowledging her deeper passion to share the Word of God, Pastor McKnight became a student of the Word and completed biblical studies at Southern Maryland Bible Institute under the auspice of Bishop Timothy Warren, Holy Sanctuary. In November 2014, she preached her initial sermon entitled “The Chosen”. After much prayer and consideration, Pastor McKnight entered the Christian Covenant Fellowship of Ministries (CCFM) Leadership Institute under the auspice and leadership of Bishop Michael Blue. Upon completion, Pastor Charles Hamlin, Jr., Oil of Joy Ministries Christian Center endorsed her, and she was ordained and licensed as an Elder in the Lord’s church and received the laying of hands by the presbytery.

Wherever her hands are needed, Pastor McKnight avails herself and does so in the spirit of excellence – from standing behind the sacred desk, to visiting the sick & shut-in, and the bereaved, to feeding and serving those in less fortunate situations. Her heart is for the people of God! In her everyday living, both inside and outside of the local assembly, she exemplifies a godly character. Pastor McKnight lives a life that is pleasing to the Lord – a life filled with love, compassion, and humility.

She loves to motivate, inspire, and inflame the Body of Christ wherever she goes. What stands out about Pastor McKnight is the God-given ability to connect and relate to God's people. Her loving and sincere spirit coupled with her incredible teaching abilities make her a treasure in the Kingdom of God. She has a heart and passion after God's own heart, towards God's people, and teaching & preaching His Word. Many love how God uses her greatly to bring Biblical truths into their lives.
